Dapple is Brooklyn Tweed's first wool and cotton blend. Pure organic cotton from Texas and 20.7-micron Merino wool from Colorado combine in a soft woolen-spun yarn appropriate for any season. The unique nature of the spinning and dyeing process creates subtle variations of colour and texture throughout each lot for dappled, tonal colour effects. You can create rich, monochromatic fades using the range of saturations or choose an allover blend of tones by arranging the skeins randomly.        

Botanic Shawl by Stephen West has all the elements of a great summer project. It is a triangular shawl using self-striping Zauberball Crazy combined with a solid yarn. If you are looking for a cozy project to keep you busy during all the extra hours you are spending at home, then have a look at the Safe at Home Blanket by Margaret Holzman.  This colorful blanket can be knit as a stash buster or you can choose some bright colours of worsted weight yarn, such as Cascade 220.  The blanket is worked in garter stitch strips and then sewn together. It's mitten season and I especially love knitting cozy Selbu colourwork mittens. Traditional Norwegian Selbu mittens have a two-coloured star pattern or Selbu Rose, of which there are now hundreds of variations.
