Waiting for Rain

Learn to knit the beautiful “Waiting for Rain” shawl directly from the designer. This shawl uses a unique new technique of charted lace short rows to create the “lace rips” throughout the shawl. Sylvia will talk about how she developed this technique and how it can be modified to create your very own lace short row shawl. This project uses a number of lace stitches, so students should be proficient knitters who have previously attempted lacework. If you are comfortable working simple lace, this project will be a fun learning experience and opportunity to knit along with the support of the designer. Yarn for this class should be purchased at black sheep Yarns.
