Churchmouse Basic Socks

Learn basic top down sock construction, including knitting a vertical heel flap, turning a heel, picking up gusset stitches and grafting a toe. Once you understand this basic sock structure you can begin to explore other approaches to knitting socks, but this will remain your straightforward simple sock. In this class you will be using a thicker yarn to make make warm, wooly socks. so these socks will fly off the needles. Students must be competent with casting on, knitting and purling, prior to taking this class.
