Sunday August 18th is the third annual Car-Free Day on St Johns Street between Douglas and Moody Streets. Enjoy food vendors, live music, a beer garden and family friendly activities between noon and 7pm. Black Sheep Yarns will be open our usual Sunday hours, noon to 4pm for those who wish to visit during the event. This colourful Shetland colour work hat was designed by Harriet Middleton to raise money for a much needed local MRI scanner. Presently people living on the Shetland Islands have to travel to the Scottish mainland for an MRI scan. The colours were inspired by the Shetland MRI Scanner logo and can be knit in Jamiesons of Shetland Spindrift or Jamieson & Smith 2 ply Jumper Weight.
